Want to know more about Art Therapy and about therapy in general? Here is your opportunity to ask!
This website is for you to learn about the basics of art therapy and see how it can help you. There will be resources to help you find a local art therapist and to learn more about possible art therapy groups or projects that you may be able to also participate.
Becoming an art therapist can be difficult and a confusing process depending on where in the world you want to study or practice. This site will give you resources on the basics of what you need to know about becoming an art therapist and much more.
Once schooling has been completed art therapists enter into the world and may lose track of other art therapists or become overwhelmed with all the online resources. This website will help art therapists find the resources they need and allow them to see all the interesting things that are happening with other art therapists.
I am answering questions from people who have never heard about art therapy, others who are interested in becoming an art therapist, or from other art therapy professionals that want to learn more about their own profession. I do not know it all or have all the answers so I will be turning to other experts to hear more about what they do and see how they may answer the difficult questions. So thank you for reading and listening to learn more and always remember, if you want to know… please ask!
Watch for upcoming episodes of Ask An Art Therapist Podcast where I will be interviewing art therapists where we get to take a deeper dive into how an art therapist works and how they are helping to shape people's lives with the power of art.
I will be taking your questions and answering them through the blog post with personal answers, research information, and resources that you can use to help you better understand the world of art therapy.
Once a week I will be getting on my Ask An art Therapist Twitch stream where I will be talking about a specific topic for the week and allow others to interact with me and ask questions to help others learn more about accessing art therapy and other forms of therapy.
